  Free of charge preparation of catalog records for books and journals edited by UFSC academic and administrative units.

  User training program: information on the services offered by the library, provision of tutorials and the library’s training agenda.

• Distance learning (EaD)
  Instructions for distance learning students, tutors and teachers on the use of the library’s physical and virtual resources.

• Document Delivery Services
  Request of parts of materials, such as journal articles, book chapters, thesis and dissertation chapters, etc., available in collections from other institutions. 

• Events
  Film exhibitions, lectures and debates on literature, literary meetings, exhibitions, among other cultural and education projects. Some of these events are open to the public, while others are restricted to the university staff.

• Games Space
  Service that provides the opportunity to use the library for playful and recreational purposes.

• Guidance on database search
  Assistance to the university community on defining search strategies and selecting  information sources for research.

• Guidance on standardization of papers
  Reference materials for guidance on the standardization of academic and scientific papers.

• Guided visit
  Group visits to the library, previously arranged and guided by a librarian.

• Identification sheet
  System developed to automatically generate identification sheets for academic papers (monographs, theses and dissertations).

• Information Accessibility
  Service aimed at promoting equity in access to information by producing an accessible (on-site) digital collection, offering guidance on the use of assistive technologies available for loan via Pergamum system, developing projects, and assisting the academic community with  information accessibility matters.

• Interlibrary loan
  Loan of materials from collections of partner institutions.

• Internships
  Useful information on the required internship of Library Science students.

• ISBN – ISSN
  Information on how to request ISBN and ISSN.

• Legal deposit
  Legal deposit of publications written, edited, published and/or printed by UFSC, regardless of their physical support.

• Library Clearance Certificate
  Instructions for issuing the Certidão Negativa de Débito [Library Clearance Certificate] online.

• Library of things
  It consists in the loan of non-bibliographic materials.

• Loan of books and other materials
  Loan of library materials for use outside the library.

• News alert from the library collection
  Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) service, automated via Pergamum system, which allows the user to receive, by email, news alerts about the new acquisitions from the BU/UFSC collection, based on subjects or authors of interest.

• Online mechanism for references (MORE)
  Software for creating and managing bibliographic references.

• Patents – search in sources of technological information 
  Assistance to researchers in the development of search strategies and the selection of sources of technological information (patent databases) that meet their research objectives.

• Social BU
  Social projects and institutions supported by UFSC Library.

• Speak out, Library
  This section publishes texts written by BU librarians on topics that are of interest to the university community, with the purpose of sharing relevant informational, educational and motivational content.

• Thesis and Dissertation Delivery
  Procedures for the delivery of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, effective from 1 August 2019.

  Support to the university’s open access scientific journals.
